Insoluble electrode welding
When welding with an insoluble electrode in a protective environment of neutral gas, the arc is excited between the electrode and the product. The technological properties of the method are determined by the way of supplying the arc (direct current with direct or reverse polarity, alternating current). With constant current and direct polarity weld all metals and alloys except aluminum, magnesium and their alloys. When using alternating current, the advantages of the two ways of connecting direct current are largely combined. This is the main way of welding aluminum, magnesium and their alloys.
