It is an electrochemical process that transforms the surface of the metal into a decorative, durable and corrosion-resistant anodic oxide. The anode oxide structure originates from an aluminum substrate and is composed entirely of aluminum oxide. It has a highly ordered, porous structure that enables secondary processes such as staining and sealing.
